CHANCE THE RAPPER DONATES $1M DOLLARS TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN CHICAGO


The 2017 Grammy award winner on monday annouced that he will be donating a million dollars to public schools in Chicago.

Chance the Rapper grew up in the west chattam neighborhood of Chicago Illinois.

Chance the Rapper did this to intervene into Chicago Public Schools' funding crisis.Chance the Rapper after the anouncement presented the million dollars cheque to City schools and urging the Illinois state governor, Gov. Bruce Rauner to use his executive powerss as the State governor to help schools in chicago.
Illinois has been without a budget for two years, the longest for any state in two centuries and this is a great reason for the crisis in the funding of public schools.
The Republican governor of  Illinois where Chicago is located, also the U.S A's third-largest district a former  responded by noting his own philanthropy and floating Chicago school funding ideas that would face tough odds in the Democratic-controlled Legislature.


This Charitable act was commended by many including the former first lady of the United states of America, Michelle Obama.
